Cloud Peak BCH Achievements of 2025

Double the Fun
(and the experience)

As a continuation from years past, Cloud Peak BCH made the decision to hold two pack clinics in a row this year instead of just one. This allowed us to expand our audience and take the time to help each packer individually. We hope to continue improving our clinics in the next few years, and your support makes that possible.

Improved Trail Experience

Through the organization of multiple trail clearing projects we were able to clear over 50 miles of trails. That's 50 more miles to enjoy the riding & hiking experience in our beautiful Bighorn Mountains!

The Legacy Lives On

Cloud Peak BCH members continue to care for and maintain the hi-lines and fire pits at Elgin Park Trailhead. The group cleaned out all of the fire pits at the trailhead and added gravel to the hi-line areas. They have been helping take care of Elgin Park Trailhead since the hi-lines were installed in 1993, only a year after the Cloud Peak chapter of BCH was established.

A New Tradition

We also decided it was time to organize a fun, annual event for Northeast Wyoming to enjoy. Through lots of hard work, planning, and fundraising, our first ever Bighorn Mountain Fun Ride/Hike was made possible.

Functional Website

This year we finally took the initiative to create a fully functional website with options to become a member and donate online! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to keep our website up to date with events, galleries, and our latest achievements.

Better Access, Happy Riders

We also decided to find new ways to help our fellow horse riders enjoy their adventures in the Bighorns a little more. One way we did this is by installing a horse friendly metal gate at the Big 5 State land north of Buffalo to improve horse riding and hiker access.
